Maria Papathoma is a Clinical Psychologist – Psychotherapist. She graduated in 2015 from the Department of Social Policy in Panteion University. She continued her studies at the Department of Psychology of the University of East London.
Her specialization (MSc) in Clinical and Community Psychology followed She also specializes in Cognitive and Behavioral Psychotherapy from the Center for Applied Psychotherapy and Counseling.
In the context of her specialisation and training in Psychology, she has attended numerous educational and training seminars and programs. In particular, she has attended seminars in Clinical Psychopathology at the 1st Psychiatric Clinic of EKPA and at the Research Institute of Mental Health, Neuroscience and Medical Precision “KOSTAS STEFANIS”. In addition, she holds the postgraduate program “School Psychology” of the University of the Aegean and the “AUTISM: UNDERSTANDING, EDUCATION AND INTERVENTION” of the University of Patra.
She has worked in mental health structures in Greece, has gained clinical experience in a wide range of disorders, such as anxiety disorders, mood disorders, adolescent crisis, etc. In recent years he has been working with children, adolescents and adults with developmental disorders and especially people on the Autism Spectrum. In addition, for the last 5 years he has been working in school structures as a parallel support in private and public schools, mainly taking on children with developmental disorders such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, Mental Retardation).
She has worked in mental health facilities in Greece, having clinical experience in a wide range of disorders, such as anxiety disorders, mood disorders, adolescent crisis, behavioral problems in childhood and problems that one faces over the course of one’s life. In addition, in the last 5 years she has been working in school facilities as a parallel support in private and public contexts.
